Foolish thought: The rich thinking that the poor are happy and without sorrow is just as foolish as the poor thinking that the rich are happy.

Respected Hazrat Hakeem Sahab, Aslam-o-Alaikum! We have seen a lot of bad times and how we struggled to get through them is something that I would like to share. I have three brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law and a mother-in-law. My father-in-law has passed away due to lung cancer. A lot of money was spent on trying to cure his illness. My mother-in-law placed our house's registry in someone else's care in exchange for money, which was to be paid later. She took a few thousand rupees as loan. This ran out and afterwards she took some interest money without telling anyone. The interest money came and food problems began to occur at home. Furthermore, my brother-in-law would get angry over the slightest comment and would often fight with one another. My mother-in-law would try to get them to end the fight and would mostly end up with torn clothes. There was a lot of unrest in our home. My husband is the oldest of his siblings. When the time came to return the interest money, we learned that my mother-in-law had taken it. On being questioned by my husband, my mother-in-law said that she wanted to prevent any sort of chaos in the house and not worry him, which is why she took the money. The situation became so dire that we had to sell our house. My husband became a target of his family by making a strict decision and bought a small house for my mother-in-law, three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law. He, himself, rented a place to stay. His pay was only Rs.15000. My mother-in-law said that her son has to be married so my husband took a loan and my brother-in-law was married. He did not give anything at home. Now it was my sister-in-law's turn to be wed. Again, my husband was called. I became worried because my older brother had brought me along with my husband to his second home. I was now living in my brother's house instead of in a rented one. The problem, now, was of my husband's sister's wedding. Dowry had to be arranged as well as feeding at least 100 guests. Other than that, Maiyon, food for Mehndi, deciding the date, food on that day, clothes for my sister-in-law's father-in-law, clothes for Barat, a watch for her father-in-law, a watch for her groom, ring, gold earrings for her mother-in-law; everything that is tradition in our culture had to be fulfilled. By cleaning the bathroom of the mosque and doing the حم لا ینصرون wazifa increased the blessings in my husband's work. We were living peacefully. However, definitely interest money is a huge source of discord in any household. Its bad effects can still be seen among my in-laws. There is negativity in everything they do, sickness never leaves the house, no matter how much money is earned it unknowingly disappears. My brother-in-law, even today, complains that his mother made a big mistake by taking the interest money whose results we have to suffer to this day. May Allah Almighty grant everyone with the ability to do well. By coming to the Tasbeeh Khana to pray, Allah Almighty had helped us.
